Mike ride to Barnet

Sunday 12th March. With overcast Skies and forecast of a mostly wet day, it was nice to start in the dry, with 5 Guy’s leaving Wimbledon, Wimbledon Park, Earlsfield, King Georges Park, Wandsworth, Putney, Putney Bridge to Bishops Park for an early Coffee stop, then Fulham, Baron’s Court, West Kensington, Shepherds Bush, Under the Westway, North Kensington, Queens Park, Brondesbury- where we had a visit from the ‘P fairy’, the first repair proved to be unsuccessful, & the patched repair only partly working, perhaps due to the Drizzle-, we continued via Cricklewood, a ‘novel route’ avoiding Brent Cross, a very hectic Hendon, Mill Hill, West Finchley,- where the repaired Tube finally gave up, forcing John to head for the Station-, then finding our intended path closed for repair/ rebuilding, Totteridge, the Dollis brook path, to High Barnet for Lunch at a busy ‘Black Horse’, then New Barnet, East Barnet, Oakhill Park & the ‘Pymmes brook’ path, Brunswick Park, Arnos Park, New Southgate, Colney Hatch, Fortis Green, East Finchley, Hampstead Garden Suburb, Golders Green, Childs Hill, Hampstead Cemetery, Kilburn to Brondesbury Park for Trains to Clapham Junction & Richmond. Total 37 Miles
