Rogers ride to Hambledon & the Devil’s Punchbowl

Sunday 12th August, a rather bleak forecast might have put a few people off, but there were 10 hardy souls ready to leave Woking, with light drizzle, with a couple of slightly heavier Showers lasting until mid afternoon, via Woking Park, Sutton green, Jacobs well, Riverside country park, Stoke park, Guildford, Littleton, Farncombe, Godalming, (& the ‘Pepperpot’), Busbridge, Hydestile to Hambledon for lunch at the ‘Merry Harriers’,- with a welcome side room, just right for a few dripping Cyclists-,  then Witley, Brook, under the Tunnel approach for the A3, to the spectacular views from the ‘Devil’s Punch bowl’, Rushmoor, Tilford, Crooksbury, the Sands to Seale for a well earned Cuppa at the ‘Manor Farm Tea rooms’, then Tongham, Ash green & the ‘Christmas Pie trail’ via Flexford, to Wood Street village, Broadstreet common, Fairlands, Worplesdon, Mayford, Hook heath, St. John’s, & the Basingstoke canal path to Woking. Total 48 Miles.
